Glass breakage to your car in Spain
Do you have any questions? We will gladly give you clear answers
I have a star or break in my car window. Is that insured?
Yes, if you have the coverage glass breakage (lunas) has. In that case, the repair or replacement is usually fully covered.
Do I need to report the damage to GrupoXandra first?
No. In case of glass breakage, you can contact Carglass directly, by phone or online. They arrange everything with Zurich.
How do I report glass breakage at Carglass in Spain?
Call 902 102 959 (English-language assistance available) or make an appointment online at www.carglass.es with your license plate number and policy information.
And if I find myself outside of Spain?
Call the same number. Carglass will work with their international partners to find an on-site solution.
What parts are covered by glass breakage?
Windshield, rear window and side windows are covered. Depending on your policy, a panoramic roof may also be included.
What is not covered under glass breakage coverage?
Mirrors, headlights, taillights, turn signals and plastic panels are not insured.
Can Carglass come to my home?
Sometimes they do. It depends on the distance to the nearest Carglass center and the type of damage. Carglass decides on this.
Can I have the repair done through my own garage?
Exceptionally, yes. In that case, we first open a file with Zurich and an expertise in the garage usually follows.
Do I have to pay anything upfront for the repair?
No. If glass breakage is in your policy, Carglass or the garage will charge directly with Zurich.
Specifically, how does GrupoXandra help me with glass breakage?
We check your coverage, guide you through exceptions if necessary, and remain available until everything is handled correctly.
Had damage? We'll take care of it for you.
A claim is annoying enough, especially if you are in another country and not everything proceeds in your own language. That's why we make sure that your damage is handled correctly, clearly and as smoothly as possible.
